Description The topic of multilingualism has received more attention in research in the past years. This paper examines how reading strategies are transferred from one language to another. The study was performed with grammar school pupils from Brno whose native language L1 is Czech, L2 English, and L3 German. First, I examine how learner understand texts in their native language, and second, what strategies they use for reading comprehension.
