Description The aim of this work was to study the influence of load distribution in the bone and in the implant towards the frontal part of the mandible when a monocortical and bicortical endosteal one-stage implant is applied using the method of finite elements analysis (MFA). Depending on the implant location in the bone, it has been found that the extent of stress fields in the bone and the implant are significantly lower in the case of implant location below the surface of the bone both in the case of monocortical and bicortical fixation. MFA has also demonstrated lower generation of stress with bicortical fixation.
