Description Introduction CNS vasculitis in children are rare, but increasingly diagnosed inflammatory diseases of CNS. For vasculitis is typical inflammation of the cerebral vessels, which causes ischemia or hemorrhage. Case report 4,5 year old boy admitted for the progression of left side movement disorders. CT of brain found brain ischemia in the basin of a.cerebri media (ACM). On magnetic resonance angiography (MRAG) complete thrombosis of right ACM. Started antioedematous, anticoagulant and antiplatelet therapy. Interventional radiologist recommended a conservative proccess. Next day worsened of neurological symptoms – sever left sided hemiparesis almost plegia. Control MRAG showed vasculitis of large vessels of the brain, completed rheumatology. Ultrasonography of main arteries showed irregular expanded wall of right arteria carotis communis(ACC),flows in ACC and arteria carotis interna reduced. Hematology avoids coagulopathy, metabolic screening as well as rheumatology were negative, examination of cerebrospinal fluid without etiological agent. To the existing treatment added pulses of corticosteroids and cyclophosphamide. Left limbs movement improved, started an intensive rehabilitation. After completing of the results the state concluded as post – varicella CNS vasculitis. Patient after 25 – days hospitalization discharged home.
