Description Dyslexia is one of the most famous specific learning disabilities. Dyslexic’s reading performance, evaluated in terms of speed, accuracy and understanding, is far below the expected level appropriate to his age, measured value of IQ and adequate educational offer. One way of assistance to children with dyslexia and visual stress symptoms may be using of chromagen filters. They are tinted spectacle or contact lenses of well-defined wavelengths. Retinal image becomes darker and it prolongs latency time, which is time between the light absorbing by retina and brain processing. Filters should ensure resynchronization and selective changes of the information in a way that can lead to improve reading and writing difficulties in affected individuals. The first phase of the study has not demonstrated the positive impact of chromagen filters to reading rate at control group of individuals without reading disorders.
