| Description | The goal of this document is to inform readers about the partial results of a research project focusing on the relationship between sociopsychological characteristics and parameters of oncological treatment in patients with breast cancer within the context of contemporary knowledge. The authors present the results of two interconnected research domains: types of behavior and adaptation to tumor diseases, and the domain of quality of life in relation to psychopathological symptoms. The results of our research of Type C coping, with the relationship between the adaptation to the disease, treatment and quality of life of patients with breast cancer, while taking into account known risk factors, are presented in the context of dealing with oncological treatment. Our research resulted in practical outputs to make adaptation to breast cancer and its subsequent treatment easier for patients. This document aims to address patients, their families, healthcare professionals, and the professional public. |
