Description Ewing´s sarcoma family of tumours are rare malignancies. Typically, ESFT occur in children, adolescents and young adults. Survival of patients decreases with age, whereas those under age 15 have 70-75% 5 year overall survival rate (OS), those older than 15 have approximately a 50% 5 year OS. The treatment is multimodal. The induction chemotherapy is followed by local therapy. Surgery is preferred to radiation therapy itself. Thereafter the patient is given consolidation therapy. Higher toxicity must be expected. However, it is predictable and manageable. Recent data shows, that adult patients have a chance for the same treatment’s results as younger patients in case they are treated according to the same protocols with maximum supportive therapy. The treatment is very expensive and difficult to manage. Centralisation is necessary.
