Description The soft tissue sarcomas are heterogeneous group of malignancies. Mainstay of first line treatment is radical surgery, while chemotherapy has doubtful results across published studies and is effective for only some types of sarcomas. Refractory and relapsed soft tissue sarcomas are difficult to treat, with some exceptions. Some of the possible methods are limited by their toxicity. New therapeutic procedures include metronomic antiangiogenic therapy and immunotherapies, and they are under evaluations in ongoing clinical trials.
