Description GSCs are considered by many experts one of the most important causes of the GBM resistance to conventional therapies and aggressive biological behavior of this malignity. We found differentialy expressed rniRNAs in GSCs compared to non-GSCs and some of these miRNAs corelate with expression of Sox-2 and nestin. Moreover, niiR-192-5p and miR-885-5p are upregulated in GSCs and significantly correlate with the survival of GBM patients. Thus, our data indicate an involvement of these miRNAs in GSC biology and might be not only prognostic molecules but also promising therapeutic targets in GBM.
