Description Head and neck tumour are agressively growing and the oncologic treatment often results in mutilation of the patiens and quality of life impairment. The first treatment modality choice is crucial for the treatment results. However more than 50% of the tumours are not radiosensitive and thus the radiotherapy is of no benefit for the patient. Aim of the study is to search for any usefull and appliable marker of radiosensitivity. On cancer cell lines (cultivated from tissue samples taken from patiens prior to treatment) we asses the DNA damane (DNA double strand breaks number, the repair dynamic and capacity in real time) so that the radiosensitivity could be in vitro estimated prior to treatment decision making.
