Description Increasing lifespan meneans increasing number of people with cognitive impairment. There is necessary to consider 1/3 of seniors above 80 years of age to have memory disturbances. Undiagnosed dementia increases the risk of household accidents, mistakes in medication, moneay mistakes. Dementia is diagnosed in middle grade in most cases until now, but existing treatment is most effective, when started very early, ideály at stage of minimal cognitive impairment. Active screening is one only way, how to discover these very early stages. Guideline/recommendation to add memory testing to regular preventive examination every other year in people above 65 years of age is active in Cuzech Republic since 1st of january 2020.
