| Description | A team of experts led by prof. MUDr. Miroslav Souček, CSc. and MUDr. Petr Svačina did a great job of squeezing the most important of a wide field of internal medicine into a limited number of pages. The book thus helps all undergraduate as well as postgraduate students to orient themselves safely in the broad issues of internal medicine, and at the same time the publication is also beneficial for internists and physicians in other fields. The book is divided into a propaedeutic and a special part. Propaedeutics is still the basis at which the reader gets acquainted with the basic principles of patient examination. These are the main prerequisite not only for the correct diagnosis, but also for the treatment of internal diseases. The second part is then devoted to individual subfields of internal medicine. Therapy is discussed only in essential features, as well as rare diseases and illnesses. |
