Description Right ventricle myocardial infarction (RVMI) accompanies inferior wall myocardial infarction in up to one-half of cases. Patients with this diagnosis are in higher risk of major cardiovascular complications and death in acute phase. However, owing to higher resistance to ischemia, right ventricle recovers well and long-term prognosis of patients with RVMI appears to be good. In higher risk of RVMI are especially patients with right ventricle hypertrophy. Nevertheless, the literature related to combination of these diagnoses is very rare. In our case report, we describe the patient with RVMI, who suffers from chronic cor pulmonale related to pulmonary hypertension due to lung disease. Owing to in time revascularisation procedure and proper initial therapy, the patient recovered well and despite severe infectious complications, she was released from hospital in good condition.
