| Description | Shortly before the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic, a questionnaire survey was conducted among the employees of the Medical Rescue Service of the South Moravian Region and the Vysočina Region as a unique probe into environment of rescuers and their attitudes to preventive vaccination and perception of infection risks within their profession. One of the goals was to find out what percentage of outbound group members from The sample of respondents meets the recommendations of studies and professional organizations regarding preventive vaccination and control of antibodies in selected diseases. 131 respondents took part in the questionnaire survey. Despite the high infectious risks in pre-hospital care, for example, all emergency medical staff were found to have very low vaccinations not only against the flu (6.11%), but also whooping cough or meningococci (7.63%). On the contrary, more than two thirds of respondents have checked measles virus antibodies and almost four-fifths of respondents recruited in emergency medical services before 1 January 2007 they are vaccinated against infectious hepatitis A. |
