| Description | HSP is the most common vasculitis in children age with an incidence of 13.5–20.4 / 100,000 / year, peak occurrence is mostly in children aged 4-6 years. HSP is an immunocomplex vasculitis characterised by palpable skin purpura, arthritis/arthralgias, gastrointestinal and renal disability. However, to make a diagnosis the presence of all symptoms is not necessary. In some cases, sowing may be purple follow up to joint or GIT symptoms logii. The prognosis of the disease is determined by the disability kidneys, which may be mild (mik- rosacular hematuria, mild proteinuria), but even very severe (nephrotic proteinuria, fast progressive glomerulonephritis) with possible transition to chronic kidney disease. Subcutaneous edema is relatively typical finding in HSP. It is usually located at hands, around the ankles and on the feet, less then on the face or genitals (scrotum, labia). However, lumbar edema is an extremely rare localization. |
