Description The Heusler alloys are one of the most prominent family of compounds currently studied due the presence of an extraordinary magneto-structural transition in their phase diagrams because this non-diffusive martensitic transition is accompanied nearly always by very pronounced changes of physical properties of the alloys (see, e.g., Ref. [1]). The stoichiometric austenite Ni2Mn-based alloys crystallize in the cubic Fm-3m structure (L21, full Heusler) and exhibit a long range ferromagnetic arrangement of moments below the Curie temperature, see, e.g., Ref. [2] and references therein. Our research was motivated by the fact that quantum-mechanical studies of pressure-induced changes in different magnetic states of stoichiometric Ni2MnSn with point defects, in particular swaps, are quite rare and, therefore, we aimed at filling this gap in common knowledge. We also have our own experimental data [2] and we hope that our theoretical results can shed a new light on very intriguing pressure-induced changes in Ni-Mn-Sn compounds.
