Description At the time of the COVID-19 pandemic, case reports of Guillain-Barré syndrome (GBS) in patients with an immediate preceding Severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) infection began to appear in the literature, and a possible association between these diseases began to be discussed. Since the aetiology of GBS is predominantly post-infectious and two-thirds of patients develop GBS preceded by respiratory or gastrointestinal tract infection [1], a possible association between GBS and SARS-CoV-2 infection comes into question. The aim of the case report described here is to present a case in which the development of GBS was preceded by SARS-CoV-2 infection and to briefly summarize the literature on this issue known to date.
