| Description | Nutrition and its role in patients with pressure ulcers. Proper nutrition plays a crucial role in the prevention and treatment of pressure ulcers, because the optimal supply of nutrients is necessary for the proper healing of this chronic wound. Malnutrition patients are at higher risk of developing pressure ulcers than well-nourished patients. As the incidence of pressure ulcers in hospitalized patients increases, it is necessary to pay increased attention to the detection of malnutrition in these patients and intervene in a timely manner. |
