Description Although gliomas are rare, they are a societal problem for several reasons. The most common and most aggressive glioma is glioblastoma, an infiltratively growing tumour with early recurrence despite combined trimodality standard treatment including surgery, radiation and systemic therapy. Median overall survival even in patients treated in this way is between 14-16 months, making glioblastoma one of the most difficult cancers to treat ever.
