Description Prognosis of patients with acute myeloid leukemia (AML) is not satisfactory. The aim of the study is to improve diagnosis of MAL in cases characterized by specific chromosomal translocations t(18;21) and t(15;17) using RT-PCR. To determine optimal conditions for detection of both translocations we performed a detail study of experimental onditions for RT-PCR on human cell lines NB-4 and KASUMI-1. The results proved to be valid for clinical diagnstics of the translocations in blood and/or bone marrow samples of AML patients.
