Description Freeze-etching method was used to observe structure of membrane areas HL-60 cells. The attention was concentrated on the plasma membrane and nuclear envelope. Replicas of cells affected by ultrasound and handling conditions were observed, distribution of proteins in the area of plasma membrane and shape of the membrane and the distribution of nuclear pores in the nuclear envelope were studied. Cell respond to the mechanical stress affected by ultrasound is similar as a result of handling with cell culture i.e. local corrugation membrane surface.
