Description Aim: To provide the evaluation of skin cancer incidence and to identify factors associated with an increased incidence of skin cancers in renal transplant recipients followed in the University Hospital Olomouc Transplant Center. Results: In the study population we found cancer de novo after transplantation in 92 patients. Skin cancer had a total of 55 patients. Fifty-two (94.5 %) patients had non-melanoma skin cancer, 2 (3.6 %) patients had malignant melanoma, and we uncovered one case of merkel cell carcinoma of the skin. Out of all evaluated parameters, the patient's age at the time of transplantation and type of immunosuppressive therapy showed statistical significance.
