| Description | The author presents a definition of the diabetic foot and its different classifications. It shows the epidemiology, risk factors. Medical and economic aspects of this problem highlights the prevention of this complication. Equally important, however, and specialized care, if this complication develops. Similarly, as the complex causes of the diabetic foot, then the complex and treatment of patients with this problem. It requires the attention of the dedicated team of professionals whose work manages and coordinates the diabetologist, podiatry. Therapy allows for the diabetes control, relief, treatment of infection, revascularization or conservative treatment of peripheral arterial disease, surgery, wound healing and topical therapy, and nutritional care.
