Description The MCP-1/CCL2 as well as RANTES/CCL5 chemokines are potent chemoattractant involved in immunoregulatory and inflammatory processes incisive rheumatoid arthritis. Inour study we found a significant increase in the prevalence of the heterozygous variant of the -855C/G MCP-1 polymorphism compared to homozygous variants in the IgM RF-positive subgroup of RA patients. Furthermore, an association of RANTES -403 G/A promoter polymorphism to circulating levels of IL15 and IL10 was found.
