Description Pelvic venous disease (PeVD) is a common cause of chronic pelvic pain and other symptoms. It is a complex issue (previously referred to as pelvic congestion syndrome) characterized by pathological venous drainage of the pelvis due to reflux or obstruction. In diagnosis, it is crucial to accurately assess the causal relationship between findings on imaging modalities and the clinical presentation, and determine the pathophysiological pattern of involvement. If the association between symptoms and PeVD is established, the method of choice is endovascular treatment, which has high technical and clinical success rates and minimal complications when appropriately indicated.
