| Description | The basis of three decades of fruitful scientific and research cooperation between the teams of the Department of Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation and Japanese clinical and research centers was established in the mid-1990s. This was made possible by the generous support of Professor Franz Halberg, the founder of the modern scientific field of Chronobiology. Then, thanks to the tireless initiative of Professor Jarmila Siegelová, joint projects with Professor Kuniaki Otsuka and the Department of Chronomics and Gerontology of Tokyo Women’s Medical University in Tokyo, Japan, were created and continuously developed. |
