Awards and honours
The Faculty of Medicine of Masaryk University aims to promote excellence in scientific activity, outstanding academic achievements and significant contribution to the academic community and society. On this page you will find an overview of the awards for which students, academics and researchers can be nominated. The awards are divided into internal and external, depending on whether they are awarded directly by Masaryk University or by other institutions in the Czech Republic and abroad. The faculty actively supports its members in nominating for these awards, provides assistance in the preparation of documents and informs about current calls and deadlines for submissions.
Internal awards and honours
Internal awards are prestigious recognitions awarded by Masaryk University itself or its components. The aim of these awards is to give visibility and recognition to outstanding achievements in research, teaching, innovation and civic contribution. These recognitions not only enhance the prestige of the awardees, but also motivate other members of the academic community to excellence.
External awards and honours
External awards are given by scientific institutions, foundations, ministries and international organisations. They are often associated with financial support, international recognition and opportunities for further professional development. These awards reflect a wide range of activities - from basic and applied research to science popularisation and social responsibility. They can be addressed to experienced scientists, early career researchers, PhD students or recent graduates.
