Description The evidence that women with preeclamptic complications during pregnancy are at increased risk of cardiovascular and renal diseases later in life is accumulated in the past decades. There is no standardised follow-up to these women, although their early identification followed by both primary and secondary prevention and treatment can reduce the potential incidence of cardiovascular diseases and severe renal failures. It is necessary to create the mul-tidisciplinary evidence-based guidelines for the screening of vulnerable women and their offspring and for the risk management.
