Description The authors describe a case of cardiac tamponade in 80-year-old man, which led to his sudden death. This was caused by dissection of the ascending aorta aneurysm with subsequent rupture just after the interval and was found only at autopsy. The authors are involved in pathophysiology of cardiac tamponade, its causes, diagnosis and possible treatment. Compared with standard procedures for clinical cases. The work refers to chudost and distinctiveness of clinical symptoms accompanying this serious and life-threatening disease and its atypical course in geriatric patients polymorbid. Highlights the particular need to consider this diagnosis in patients in old age when non-specific symptoms.
