The Twinning instrument aims to strengthen research excellence and international competitiveness through structured collaboration between institutions.

Our Twinning team at MED MUNI includes Dáša Bohačiaková, Tomáš Bárta, Jan Křivánek, Petr Vaňhara, Irena Koutná, and Zuzana Holubcová / Volodymyr Porokh. Collectively, our laboratories work across advanced human tissue systems and complementary areas of biomedical research, including cellular and developmental biology, organoids, 3D cellular models, ex vivo tissues, advanced imaging, molecular pathology, regenerative medicine, and translational approaches to human health.

Although our specific biological focuses vary, we share a common objective: to enhance physiological relevance, methodological rigor, disease modelling, and translational integration of human tissue models (NAMs) through structured international collaboration.
