The research group is focused on modelling neural differentiation in vitro using human pluripotent stem cells. The team aims to understand the mechanisms of neural induction and differentiation, and utilise this knowledge to model/treat CNS-related diseases. They currently use numerous neuronal models derived from human pluripotent stem cells, including 2D neurons, neural stem cells, and 3D cerebral organoids, and focus our studies on Alzheimer's disease and Glioblastoma.
