As a result of the amendment to the Higher Education Act, academic staff are newly obliged to report the existence of a concurrent employment relationship to their employer (Section 70, paragraph 5):
- at another domestic higher education institution,
- at a foreign higher education provider in the territory of the Czech Republic,
- at another public research institution (v.v.i.),
- at other research institutions included in the list of research organisations approved for recruiting researchers from third countries.
This obligation may also apply to employment in faculty hospitals if these hospitals are included in the list of research organisations approved for the admission of researchers from third countries. This list is available on the Ministry of Education and Science website. To date, the list includes FNUSA and MOU. To date, FN Brno is not on the list.
The application for reporting concurrency is available in INET → Personal Profile Page, section "Concurrent employment reporting". Filling in the data "Institution" and "From" is mandatory. Detailed instructions can be found directly in the application.
There is no need to report:
- Agreements (DPP/DPČ)
- concurrent employment of non-academic staff
- concurrent employment of Master's or PhD students unless they are also MU academic staff.
