The task of the trained lecturers was to design a simulation related to basic life support, i.e. the so-called lay first aid, and then to present it to classmates with the help of extras across all study years. Each team of three participants was tasked to solve adult resuscitation, burns, hypothermia, bleeding, or the much-feared resuscitation of a child. The task was followed by a debriefing, where the procedure was analyzed and all the necessary skills were practiced.
It was the second time that the First-aid simulation course took place in the new building of the Simulation Center of the Medical Faculty of Masaryk University. This centre offers top simulators and exceptional spaces which form an ideal basis for convincing and detailed simulations. All these factors lead to the best possible learning outcomes, especially with an emphasis on practice.
