Implementation of Support for Clinical Teaching 2021

In 2021, an internal MU project was implemented in the Simulation Centre. The aim was to increase the support of online education, in other words, to create a clear source of study materials for selected subjects and a guide to studying a given subject in the form of an interactive curriculum in the IS MUNI, both in Czech and English language versions. The study materials are used for the home preparation of students before practical teaching at clinical departments. A student who is well prepared and equipped with basic knowledge benefits from the time spent on practical sessions many times more because they can focus on acquiring practical skills and, at the same time, consult related questions and uncertainties.

Part of the project was to record selected lectures out of 17 courses with clinical characteristics. In addition to the lecturers and course guarantors, the technical implementation involved teams whose task was to check the implementation of a uniform visual style, check the methodology, and record the lectures. An internal scheduler of recording times was created for a successful organisation of such a large number of lecturers during the recording. Between June and November 2021, a total of 596 30-minute filming slots were offered, of which 389 were booked. Altogether, 337 lectures were recorded in Czech and English, corresponding to approximately 112 hours of recording with an assumed limit of 20 minutes per lecture. The lectures were successfully implemented into the interactive curricula of individual courses. Students have used them since the beginning of this semester. Overall, 24 interactive curricula in Czech and 24 in English have been created.
