Lecture by Professor Thomas Ebner

On November the 12th, 2019, a lecture by the university professor Mag. Dr. Thomas Ebner from Kepler University Clinic in Linz, Austria, was held in the refectory of the Mendel Museum in Brno.

Professor Ebner is a prominent expert in clinical embryology and assisted reproduction. In addition to research into human gametes biology and pre-implantation development, he is involved in the professional training of embryologists at the University of Graz and at the European Society for Human Reproduction and Embryology (ESHRE).
Professor Ebner's lecture on fertilization failure and how to prevent it was attended by more than 70 listeners from the Czech and Slovak clinics for assisted reproduction, reproductive biology scientists, as well as students and academics of the Faculty of Medicine and Faculty of Science of Masaryk University.

This educational event took place on the occasion of the accreditation of the new study program Laboratory Diagnostics in Healthcare - Embryologist. The lecture and the establishment of this new study program at the Faculty of Medicine were made possible through the support of the European Social Fund and the state budget of the Czech Republic within the OP RDE project Masaryk University 4.0.
