How to Submit a Project

Before you start preparatory work on the project, please contact the Head of Grant Support (GS) Office (Jitka Blažková, blazkova@med.muni.cz, +420 549 59 8532), who will accompany you through the whole application process. She will provide you with all the information needed to successful submission of your project.
In the preparation of projects, the following obligations may arise, which must be fulfilled prior to the submission of the project application. These obligations arise from the internal MU regulations and may be various in different types of projects. The GS manager, together with you, will draw up all of the documents listed below, to inform you of the necessary steps and approval processes.

  1. The project requires financial or material co-participation
    The project, which includes a request for financial, material or other participation of Faculty of Medicine OF MU, must be approved (in the form of a brief proposal) at the meeting of the Vice-Deans.
     
  2. The project includes investment in devices
    The project, in which the purchase of devices worth more than CZK 1 million including VAT, must be discussed by the Instrument Commission.
     
  3. The project is subject to approval by the Research Infrastructures Development Board (RRVI)
    The project proposal must be presented well in advance at the RRVI meeting, particularly for projects with a scientific component.
     
  4. The project is subject to approval by the Ethics Committee
    For projects requiring the approval of the Ethics Committee of the Faculty of Medicine according to Directive No. 5/2015 Ethics of Research at MU and Dean's Decision of the Faculty of Medicine of Masaryk University No. 2/2016 on the Statute of the Ethics Commission of the Faculty of Medicine of Masaryk University it is necessary to submit a request for consideration of the project by the Ethics Committee of Faculty of Medicine.
     
  5. The project has an impact on the MU / IS MU IT infrastructure
    For the final project application (processed in the relevant information system of the grant provider) it is necessary to attach the opinion of the ISP / IT IS.
     
  6. Project handler
    The final draft of the project is always required to be inserted into the ISEP database, together with the project application and the signed registration sheet of the project, to be submitted by the PPE responsible for signing.
     
  7. Signature of the project application
    The final project application will always require the signature of an authorized person, either in writing or in electronic form.
  • Projects requiring the Dean's signature must be submitted for signature by the responsible PPE at least 5 days before the deadline for the grant provider.
  • Projects requiring the signature of the Rector must be submitted for signature by the responsible PPE at least 10 days before the deadline for the grant provider.
