"Students from the 2nd year can get involved in the program. And there was a huge number of applicants, which made us very happy. A total of 100 of them will be involved. First, they have to study the theory in First Aid e-learning and pass several knowledge tests. In addition, they have to make 3 short videos explaining complex topics, such as the procedure for severe airway obstruction in an infant, including practical demonstrations. Future lecturers then evaluate each other's videos and pass on a valuable feedback, "described Tereza Vafková from the team of First Aid lecturers.

In the next part of the program, students attend several online workshops focused on topics in the field of teaching skills. "The topics of the prepared online workshops are very diverse, e.g. Feedback and its importance in clinical practice, Basics of simulation-based education, Specifics of simulations in First aid teaching, Setting up a safe learning environment or Basics of debriefing," added Vafková.

Daniel Barvík, another lecturer of the program, describes the next steps in the training of future lecturers: “In the spring semester, the lecturers will already train their skills in practice and try to gradually learn all the topics from the First Aid training. They will also meet all the tools and simulators used in First Aid. "

At the end of the program, there is a consultation, during which the students perform several tasks focused on testing their knowledge, their practical and teaching skills and on how they are able to pass on information and teach. And in the Autumn semester, they will be able to participate in the teaching of first-year students together with the graduates of last year's program.
