This so-called course of interyear cooperation at the Medical Faculty of Masaryk University took place on the holiday day of 28 October 2020. A total of 30 students, divided into two shifts, passed 5 simulations in the field of basic life support, i.e. laic first aid. Three students always had 5 minutes to solve situations that may be encountered in our daily lives. This was followed by a structured debriefing with experienced instructors and a practical skills training. Over 300 students of general and dental medicine took part in the five-year history of the Simulation Course of First Aid and its gradual transformation from a student project into a course of the Faculty of Medicine. Over 30 student lecturers were trained for the course and went through workshops in the areas of first aid, providing feedback, leading debriefing and more. Currently, all active lecturers are also involved in the Student as Teacher project and under SIMU they teach practical exercises of the innovated compulsory First Aid course. It should also be noted that the possibility of using the modern background of SIMU is not the target level of the project, but the beginning of a completely new journey.
