Foundation Programme
The Faculty of Medicine of Masaryk University offers an in-person preparatory course, called the Foundation Programme, for students who intend to to study general medicine or dentistry.
Sign up for an excellent preparatory course that will help you take that first step towards becoming a doctor or a dentist. This well-balanced blend of modules in chemistry, biology, physics, and the Czech language is designed for international students who wish to master secondary school-knowledge and broaden their horizons.
What are the advantages?
You will gain in-person experience directly on campus at the Faculty of Medicine, taught by our expert lecturers, who will also teach you later on in your studies. You will also become part of the student community in Brno. But the best advantage? Based on your results throughout the course, you can gain admission to the MU Faculty of Medicine without having to take any entrance exams!
Programme details
- The programme runs from 13 October 2025 to mid-March 2026.
- It takes 20 weeks to complete; each week (Mon–Fri) comprises of 25 teaching hours.
- The tuition fee is 200,000 CZK.
- The course is held at the University Campus of the Faculty of Medicine of Masaryk University.
- Lectures and seminars are delivered by experienced academic staff from the Faculty of Medicine using modern teaching methods.
- The biology course insludes a field trip to the Mendelianum, a museum built at the exact site where J.G. Mendel laid the foundations of genetics with his experiments.
- The courses will be available to purchase online from 1 April to 31 August 2025.
- The maximum capacity of the programme is 40 students.
Application requirements
- submitting an e-application
- uploading a CV (a part of the e-application)
- uploading scanned document/s certifying completion of secondary school education (secondary school diploma / A-levels results / IB diploma, etc. in the English language)
If all documents meet the requirements, the e-application is confirmed, and you will receive an email informing you how to pay the tuition fee.
Upon payment, you will be provided with acceptance documents.
