Masaryk University tribute assembly

Masaryk University will commemorate the events of November 1939 on November 14 at a reverent meeting at the memorial in the Kounice dormitories. Rector Martin Bareš and representatives of the MU faculties will lay wreaths here and commemorate the imprisoned, tortured and executed members of the academic community of Masaryk University and other victims of the Nazi regime. By lighting a candle at this event, all students and staff can symbolically honour all the victims and heroes who did not succumb in the face of evil.
