The research activities of the FM cover practically the entire spectrum of biomedicine, from basic medical research to clinical medicine. In particular, innovative diagnostic, therapeutic and surgical procedures are used. In addition to the close links with clinical departments, this is also supported by its own excellent infrastructure - Centre of Excellence CREATIC, CZECRIN – the Czech National Node of the European Network of Clinical Research Infrastructures, Laboratory Animal Breeding and Experimental Facility, Medicinal Herbs Centre.

MED MUNI’s research activities cover practically the entire spectrum of biomedicine, from basic medical research to clinical medicine. We focus in particular on using innovative diagnostic, therapeutic, and surgical procedures. In addition to close links with clinical hospital departments, this goal is further advanced by our own state-of-the-art infrastructure, which includes the following: the CREATIC Centre of Excellence, CZECRIN – the Czech National Node of the European Network of Clinical Research Infrastructures, the Laboratory Animal Breeding and Experimental Facility, and the Medicinal Herbs Centre.

We cooperate closely with internal and external partners within the Brno research ecosystem – the Faculty of Science of Masaryk University, CEITEC MU, University Hospital Brno, St. Anne’s University Hospital, the International Clinical Research Center (ICRC), the Masaryk Memorial Cancer Institute, the Czech Academy of Sciences, and others. We also cooperate with many international institutions and organizations on research and doctoral studies.
