Endometriosis and Physiotherapy: Students from MED MUNI’s Department of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation Gained Valuable Experience at GrooFy

A specialist seminar on endometriosis was held at the GrooFy laboratory, attended primarily by MED MUNI students. Under the guidance of endometriosis expert Dr Radek Chvátal and the patient organisation ENDOtalks, participants explored the role of physiotherapy in managing chronic pain, as well as current approaches to diagnosis and anatomy.

The Faculty of Medicine at Masaryk University awarded its international students. Dean’s Merit Scholarship was awarded for the first time

The Faculty of Medicine at Masaryk University has once again this year recognised the exceptionally successful students on its English-taught degree programmes. In addition to the traditional Lenda Scholarship, awarded to the most successful Norwegian applicant for the General Medicine programme, it has also, for the very first time, awarded the Dean’s Merit Scholarship, which enables the best students to have their tuition fees halved for the following semester.

From Brno to the Sonoran Desert: Fulbright Scholar Kateřina Vaňatková to Study Diseases of Indigenous Americans

Thanks to a Fulbright scholarship, Brno-based anthropologist Kateřina Vaňatková has travelled to Tucson, Arizona, where she will study the skeletal remains of people who lived in the Sonoran Desert. She is interested in how diseases, living conditions and diet have left their mark on bones – and how these traces can be detected without causing significant damage to this precious material.

JobMED 2026 Attracted Hundreds of Students and Dozens of Employers

More than 600 students attended this year’s JobMED career fair, which featured 32 exhibitors, an expert conference, and hands-on workshops. The event once again connected healthcare students with professionals from practice and potential future employers.
