Come for a run and connect with the world of people with Down syndrome
The fifth year of the charity run through the Bohunice University Campus is organized by the Department of Medical Ethics of the Faculty of Medicine, Masaryk University in support of children with Down syndrome and their families. The Living Seminar of Tolerance, Respect and Respect for Others is a sporting event with a virtual entry fee of your choice. The entire amount will be donated to support activities that improve the lives of people with Down syndrome.
Virtually anyone who wants to support people with Down syndrome can take part in the charity run Ethics on run. This lively tolerance seminar will take place on Saturday 27th May 2023 from 9:30 to 13:30 at the Bohunice University Campus (near Hall A19). The run is one of two activities of the Ethics of Life project, which aims to link theory with practice and provide direct contact with those who are dealing with a variety of health and moral issues, feel misunderstood or marginalised.
This year's fifth edition is held under the auspices of the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine Prof. MUDr. Martin Repko, Ph.D., who has supported all previous editions in which he himself has been actively involved. The role of a permanent ambassador was already accepted last year by triathlete Filip Ospalý, European champion and Czech Ironman. Support for the race was expressed on behalf of Masaryk University, for example by the Dean of the Faculty of Philosophy, doc. Irena Radová, who will run with her family, the Dean of the Faculty of Law doc. Martin Škop or the Dean of the Faculty of Social Studies prof. Stanislav Balík and other personalities from the whole university. The event is also supported by the deans of all medical faculties in the Czech Republic and the rector of Palacký University in Olomouc.
Come and support the athletes in three categories - 4 km run with mass start, family or group 800 m run and team run with captains with Down syndrome. A virtual entry fee in the amount of your choice, which will be donated in its entirety to support activities that improve the lives of people with Down syndrome, can be paid in cash on site or sent here.
