World Hand Hygiene Day at the Campus

5^th May is World Hand Hygiene Day. On this day, activities are held in various places around the world to promote hand hygiene, which is considered one of the most important methods of preventing the transmission of infections, especially in the health sector. This day has been declared by the World Health Organisation, under whose auspices all the events are held.

Hand Hygiene Day at the MU Faculty of Medicine is traditionally organised by the Institute of Public Health in cooperation with students from IFMSA. This year, after a break during the anti-fungal measures, the 4th edition will be held. The event aims to remind the importance of this preventive method not only in everyday life but especially in health care.
