The 61st annual exhibition of medicinal plants is organised by the Centre for Medicinal Plants (CLR) of the Faculty of Medicine of MU. The exhibition was officially opened on Thursday, 15 June at 10:00 and is open to the public until 9 July. The morning before the opening of the exhibition, the head of the CLR Ing. Lea Jedonková, three entries about the centre, the plants and much more can be seen at this link.

This year the exhibition focuses on a lesser known part of plant life, reproduction. Most of us have plant reproduction associated only with stamens, pistils and pollinators. Come and see that plants have an intimate life too. This will be brought to life in a panel exhibition that will show visitors, for example, how plants can cunningly lure and trick their pollinators or how species with bisexual flowers prevent self-pollination and thus genetic decline.

As every year, the event is held under the auspices of the Brno-Central district and the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine Prof. MUDr. Martin Repko, Ph.D.

Admission to the garden is voluntary and during the exhibition it is possible to buy surplus plants of the Czech Gardener's Union.
