Medical Faculty of Masaryk University offers a preparatory course for students who intend to enter studies of General Medicine or Dentistry. The programme provides excellent preparation for the entrance examination and the first year of our General Medicine / Dentistry degree through a well-balanced blend of modules in Chemistry, Biology, and Physics.

Preparatory Courses
Medical Faculty of Masaryk University offers three E-learning preparatory courses for students who intend to study General Medicine, Dentistry in the English language and Intensive Czech Language Course for students who have already been accepted to study in the academic year. The course should provide an advantage of easier start to the introduction of the Czech language, orientation in grammar and conversational situations in everyday life.

Martin Toul: awards motivate me to pursue science
This year's PhD graduate of the Faculty of Science, Martin Toul, received two important awards for his research work at the end of the year: the Minister of Education’s Award and the Doctorandus Prize at this year's Česká hlava scientific awards.

Jiří Macháček is proud to receive the Czech “Nobel Prize”
Jiří Macháček, winner of the “Česká hlava – Invence” (Czech Head) award in November, has big plans for the coming years: modernisation and completion of laboratory facilities and the creation of an archaeogenetic research centre in the BioPharma Hub.

Foreigners can now take Czech exam at MU
This year, Masaryk University became an official examination centre for the Czech as a Foreign Language exam, which foreigners need in order to obtain permanent residence in the Czech Republic. This makes it one of four places in the South Moravian Region where the exam can be taken.
