Projects and grants AKTION Austria - Czech Republic

AKTION programme offers funding for cooperation between universities from the Czech Republic and Austria.

Supported project types:

  • Projects aimed at long-term cooperation
  • Joint scientific events for students, such as seminars or field trips
  • Joint bilateral scientific events such as symposia, expert meetings and workshops
  • Preparatory phase for programmes that award double degrees
  • Research trips to obtain scientific data
  • Financial support for the publication of outputs from completed projects
  • Summer colleges, i.e. summer language courses in Czech or German
  • Specialised summer schools based on different scientific disciplines
  • Academic exchanges for the purpose of carrying out educational events under the master’s and doctoral study programmes of the host institution

For all supported activities, priority is given to young scientists (up to 10 years after completion of their PhD).

Who can apply:

CZ: state universities, AT: state universities, universities of applied sciences, university colleges of teacher education, accredited private universities

Target groups:

Students enrolled for full-time study, scientific staff (AT) and academic staff (CZ) of eligible institutions in the Czech Republic and Austria.

Budget:

The minimum and maximum budget amounts are not specified in the call documentation.

Deadlines for submission of project proposals:

31 October 2022 for the period 1 January - 31 December 2023
15 April 2023 for the period 1 July - 31 December 2023
15 September 2023 for the period 15.10.2023 - 31.12.2023

Eligible costs:

  • subsistence costs (accommodation and meals),
  • scholarships,
  • travel costs,
  • honoraria for teaching activities,
  • publication costs,
  • other costs and overheads
