| Description | From 25 – 50% people in Europe, but 60 – 100% people in Asia are myopic. There is distinct division between urban and rural areas. High myopia especially involves the macula and has serious complication e.g. choroidal neovasc ularisation, myopic chorioretinal atrophy, posterior staphyloma, neuropathy and high incidence of retinal detachment. |
