| Description | Testicular tumors are the most common cancer in adolescent boys and young měn aged 15-35 years. Although they belong to the curable cancers, delayed diagnosis and therapy has a direct impact not only on the duration and intensity of treatment, but also the overall morbidity and mortality. Latě diagnosis and advanced disease reduces the chance for a permanent cure. Testicular self-examination is an effective method of secondary prevention, but still is not clearly recommended by professionals. But its positive con-tribution to the early diagnosis and the simplicity of this method is ověř other preventivě measures. Health education and awareness of the target population of young měn about the risk of testicular cancer and its prevention is generally low. |
