Description The paper is based on results of our previous pilot study which indicated possible comorbidity of self harm behavior and depression symptoms (anhedony, negative self perception, lowered self esteem and heightened amount of suicidal thoughts) in the population of children and adolescent teenagers. Corresponding results have been found by other authors (Brausch, Gutierrez, 2010). The main objective was to prove this relation in non clinical sample of children and adolescent teenagers and to examine its significant context. The research was an explorative study and following methods were used: Children's Depression Inventory CDI (Kovacs, 1991, Czech version by Preiss, 1998) Self-Harm Inventory (Sansone, Sansone & Wiederman, 1995), Self-Harm Behavior Questionnaire SHBQ (Gutierrez, 2001).
