| Description | The chapter is focused on the treatment and management of injured soft tissues of the face. It deals with the etiology, formation mechanisms, pathological anatomy, classification of injured soft tissues and their healing. Treatment goals and principles of tetanus prophylaxis are set and different types of injuries and their therapeutic strategies are discussed. Furthermore specific soft tissue injuries of the face and principles of reconstruction of missing tissue from skin transplantation to reconstruction by flaps are dealt with. |
